    • See a mending demo with Sewing & Embroidery Club
    • Consider rehoming some of the free secondhand clothing.

  • Reuse & Refill
    • Reduce packaging waste by shopping with Clean Refillery
    • Browse secondhand books available for free-- children's books, novels, and more.

  • Make eco-friendly crafts
    • Yarn Circle — plarn crafts (plastic bag yarn) 
    • Student Organic Farm — veggie prints
    • Water Alliance — watercolor painting
    • Spartan Upcycle —egg carton flowers, patchmaking, communal tapestry

  • Learn about Sustainability
    • How to fix a flat tire, with MSU Bikes
    • Why rain gardens support biodiversity, with Biosystems & Agricultural Engineering
    • What MSU does to "go green," with Office of Sustainability and Eco Reps
    • Deconstruct electronics and see what metals and other materials are inside.
  • Gardening
    • Make seed bombs with Pollinators United Sustainability Hub.
    • Adopt-a-plant with Climate Action Campaign.
    • Plant herb seeds or sunflower seeds in Grow Green Vermicompost to take home.
    • Do a soil scavenger hunt to find organisms that support composting.
    • Talk with Spartan Sierra Club.
The annual event will showcase student organizations and campus departments and attendees will get a chance to experience the everyday operations of the MSU Surplus Store and Recycling Center.
 
This year, there will be two donation drives, a hygiene drive and an art supplies drive. The hygiene items will be donated to an on campus department that supplies students with hygiene items they may have otherwise not had access to. Similarly, donated art supplies will be used to provide students and teachers with supplies for their classrooms as well as their personal creative endeavors. Please note that donations are not required for entry or to participate in activities at Earth Bash.
